So, two months later my attempts at gardening seem to be going well. Two of the three sunflowers died. But as you can see, the one that lived is thriving.

I'm excited to see how this goes. I have my doubts that my beautiful plants will last through the summer, though. This weekend will be the first real test. We will be hitting the 110's.

As a result of a particularly stressful day at work, I am feeling the need to vent. So, to people whose names I shall not mention:
Since when does having a degree entitle you to degrade me? Doesn't my 10+ years of experience in my field not count for anything?! Get over yourself.
I simply do not understand why some people feel the need to point out that they are better than you.
So, recently I've been trying different wines. A few, not a lot. But in my tasting adventures I have come across a few that I do recommend. I'm not going to pretend that I know anything about bouquets, and over-tones or under-tones. And I'm not going to try and explain the flavors. I just know that I've enjoyed them and maybe you will too.
New Age Wine
Served over ice with a squeeze of lime. Refreshing!
Relax Riesling
A little more tart than New Age, but good.
I guess I have a theme going here. Riesling is just a nice wine to drink while relaxing with friends.
I originally bought this because I thought the bottle was cute and it turned out the the contents were pretty tasty! The bottles come in many different colors. I've seen it only at Sprouts.
I'm trying to find a nice Cabernet Saugvinon. I enjoyed E & J Gallo's but would like to taste around some more. I'm open to suggestions.
So I must end this post. Writing about wines has made me want a glass so I'm on my way to open a new bottle I purchased this past weekend. More to come soon.
